M.D. General MedicineStands for Doctor of Medicine in General Medicine. Typically, M.D.(General medicine) is a three year course, minimum eligibility for which is a M.B.B.S with 1 year compulsory internship. General medicine is an area that focuses on diagnosing as well as treating common health problems or disorders such as nausea, cold and cough. Subjects studied under this course are Social Science, Genetics, Health Education, Occupational Health, General Medicine applied to the Field of Public Health, Maternal and Child Health Rehabilitation and Public Health Administration etc.
